EDINA, MINNESOTA – Local woman Cheryl Bloom has openly admitted that the only reason she voted in last week’s midterm election was out of spite. “My husband is a republican and I’ve had to listen to him bitch and moan about Governor Dayton for way too long,” said the 38-year old wife and mother of two. “Honestly, I wouldn’t have voted at all if he had just shut the hell up for a minute.” Bloom, who doesn’t care about politics, voted a straight democratic ticket, effectively cancelling out her husband Dennis’ voice in the democratic process. Spite is now the second-most popular reason people cited for voting, the first still being a false sense of optimism.
